A few words about our meal ministry--Galatians 6:2
In the worst times of our lives, the thing we want more than anything else is to feel that we are not alone. When we are saying goodbye to loved ones, when the news from the doctor is not what we wanted to hear, when we are recovering from surgery.... these are the times above all else we need our brothers and sisters to come alongside us.
Galatians 6:2 (ESV)
Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.
Galatians 6:2 Ministry is meant to do just this, help ease burdens and show love in a tangible way. This ministry provides meals for families in mourning, to those recuperating from surgery and hospital stays, or those who have other special needs. The group is headed by Ameriah Sink, who uses Facebook and email to contact our volunteers. A program called Meal Train is used to organize meals and delivery dates. Volunteers can see what meals others have already committed to bring and make it known what they plan to provide so that no one ends up with five nights of fried chicken in a row. :)
If you are interested in being involved with the Galatians 6:2 ministry, use the Contact form to let us know and we will be happy to add you to the volunteer list and contact you when the need arises.
